About the Position: This position is located with the US Army Engineer District, Nashville Operations Division, Hydropower Branch, Electronic Services Section in Nashville, TN.

Duties

Plan, direct, and oversee engineers and technicians who perform electronic/electrical test functions and operation of security systems at locks and hydropower facilities. Plan, assign, and direct work, sets and adjusts priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. Serve as technical expert in test-engineering services that include engineering studies, preliminary engineering, and field engineering in connection with the operation and maintenance of hydroelectric facilities. Maintain the district’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisitions (SCADA) system for remote operation of hydroelectric facilities. Develop test methods and prepare standard test procedures, report forms, and final evaluation reports. Review proposed plans, specifications, and design memos of hydroelectric projects and recommends changes in control wiring, protective relaying, instrumentation, and power distribution.
