Duties

The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) is looking for a talented Assistant Director (AD) and Financial Manager to exercise leadership and authority responsibility for the management of the Chief Financial Officer Directorate. This position reports to the Deputy Director and is located in Glynco, GA.

Requirements

  • Position is eligible for situational-only telework based on agency policy.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

  • Position requires a signed mobility agreement to relocate as necessary.
  • Emergency Essential. Required to sustain operations under all conditions.
  • Participates in FLETC's Continuity of Operations Program.

Additional information on the Executive Core Qualifications is available at http://www.opm.gov/ses/recruitment/qualify.asp   MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (MTQ): To be considered for this position, ALL applicants MUST submit written statements (narrative format) of accomplishments that would satisfy each of the MTQs. You are required to respond to all MTQs and you must address each MTQ separately. If you fail to address each MTQ, you will be rated as ineligible. Please limit your written narrative statements to no more than one page for each MTQ and no more than three pages total.     MTQ 1 - Demonstrated experience in (1) managing the planning, formulation, justification, presentation, execution and review of financial management programs and operations of multiple, geographically dispersed activities and (2) directing the development of financial management policies and program initiatives that positively contribute to the accomplishment of the organization's mission and priorities. MTQ 2 - Demonstrated experience as a technical authority and expert advisor to senior leadership regarding budgetary, financial and audit policies, laws and regulations including Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and General Accountability Office (GAO) statues, regulations, policies, procedures, and instruction; the Chief Financial Officer's Act; the Government Performance and Results Act, and other legislation, regulations, and applicable laws. MTQ 3 - Experience which demonstrates the ability to promote teamwork and collaboration among senior leaders in solving urgent and long-term financial problems involving complex or sensitive issues, major conflicts in opinion, important policies, and other management concerns that impact nationwide or agency-wide operations. FAILURE TO ADDRESS BOTH ECQs and MTQs WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FOR THIS POSITION. Exception: Current or former career SES members and SES Candidate Development Program graduates may address only the MTQs.
