About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Cyber Center of Excellence, Fort Eisenhower, GA.

Duties

Coordinate the development of Signal, Cyber, and Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) doctrine. Review doctrine in order to evaluate the relevancy and accuracy of that doctrine. Analyze doctrine in order to evaluate the relevancy and accuracy of that doctrine. Staff assigned doctrinal literature products to ensure consistency with current interagency, intergovernmental, multi-service, multinational, and joint doctrine. Review assigned doctrinal literature products to ensure consistency with current interagency, intergovernmental, multi-service, multinational, and joint doctrine. Write proponent doctrine and training literature for Signal, Cyber, and Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) operations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret/Single Scope Background Investigation security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by one year reviewing material/publications for clarity and consistency with organization's existing doctrine, policies, and operational concepts; writing doctrinal, training, or other complex literature to ensure accuracy, currency, clarity, and accessibility to intended audiences; editing documents for grammar and conformance to style and format requirements. Three years of experience in Army or joint military operations. Three years specialized experience in U.S. cyberspace operations -or- electromagnetic warfare (EW) -or- signal.
