The ideal candidate for this position will possess a wide range of data analytics skills including technical, analytical, and communication skills that can support the FEMA R3 Data Analytics Branch in its effort to develop, design, and implement innovate data strategies and solutions within FEMA Region 3.The candidate must possess a strong understanding of data and how it can best be leveraged in all phases including collection, manipulation, analysis, and visualization/reporting.

Qualifications

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.   To qualify for this position at the GS-11 level (starting salary $75,833), you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis studies and reports findings to senior data analytics staff; AND Performs analysis, data visualization, or other related data analytics task using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPlatform, Tableau, Python, R, ArcGIS, or other related database or analytical software; AND   Supports the development of tools, apps, workflows, or other analytical products that support data management initiatives, increase program efficiencies, or staff productivity.
