Duties
Position serves as a senior IT Specialist responsible for defining, enabling and managing information technology services for the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) by providing highly specialized expertise enabling and digitizing space operations IAW the Guardian Ideal and USSF objectives. The incumbent provides the Center with information technology strategic planning, acquisition support and expertise in support of the USSF mission. Incumbent plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls the activities of enterprise digital services for NSIC.
Daily tasks include managing programs and projects in support of digital enablement, develop, monitor, evaluate and analyze processes for digital services, building and reporting essential metrics, maintaining the NSIC digital services/digital enablement budget, review and approve new taskings, assign resources, establish schedules, and other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate:
- Knowledge of IT architectures, emerging technologies to include artificial intelligence and machine learning, Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) concepts, and agile software development and program/project management.
- Knowledge of methods, techniques, and processes supporting the digitization, integration and optimization of processes, system components, infrastructure requirements, user experience design features, and test and evaluation methods sufficient to design, test, debug and maintain complex and unprecedented programs and to provide technical guidance to other specialists performing similar activities.
- Knowledge of complex information technology analysis concepts, functions, techniques and capabilities sufficient to evaluate the feasibility of proposed new systems, applications and tools and ensure the successful integrating with existing and anticipated infrastructure and digital environment.
- Familiarity with acquisition and program/project management principals and techniques sufficient to maintain cost, schedule and performance parameters, provide in-depth analysis and develop measures for accessing the return on investment and/or effectiveness of acquisitions and delivered capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related area is highly desirable; master's degree in IT or related area is preferred.

- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI clearance.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- This position is eligible for situational telework.
- PCS/Incentive funding is available.
