About the position: This position will be assigned to the School Age Program at Davis Monthan AFB. This position is Regular Part-Time, meaning it guarantee's 20 hours with the eligibility of working up to 40. Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
  • This position requires a physical examination, with up to date immunizations.
  • This is a drug testing designated position, meaning you are subject to random drug testing.
  • You are also required to upload a copy of both your driver's license and driving record.
  • Must have completed an Associate of Arts degree in early childhood education, youth development, or related fields or have a Child Development Associate credential or a Youth Development credential (must remain current).

Qualifications

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 12/15/2023 Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, Spouse/Widow/Parent of Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age, hold a high school diploma (or equivalent) and must speak, read and write English. Must meet specific physical requirements, must pass a physical examination and have required immunizations. Must be able to lift 40 lbs or more and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate, and satisfactorily complete installation, state and national criminal background checks. Must satisfactorily complete mandatory training as specified below. Must possess maturity and good judgment and like working with children/youth and their parents. Employee must have a valid driver's license and have a good driving record if required to transport children. SPECIALIZED REQUIREMENT: One year at the CY03 level or equivalent. Must have completed an Associate of Arts degree in early childhood education, youth development, or related fields or have a Child Development Associate credential or a Youth Development credential (must remain current). Drug testing is required for this position.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
