About the Position: This is a Natural Resources Management Spec (Outdoor Rec), GS-0401-12 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division (SWD), Fort Worth District, Operations Division and will be located in Fort Worth, TX.

Duties

Serves as senior Natural Resources and Recreation Management Specialist. Provides expertise in the areas of natural resources conservation, preservation, restoration and use, and recreation planning, policy and administration to support the management of all natural resources at several lake projects. Serves as the senior specialist and district authority for outdoor recreation planning and management. Develops and establishes overall policy for natural resources and recreational planning, development, and management. Provides technical advice on, or implements, national Corps programs at the District level. Prepares revisions and supplements to master plans for lakes and mitigation projects.

Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience Requirement: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties: 1) overseeing natural resources management and recreation planning, administration, and/or management; AND 2) developing procedures or guidance for natural resources and outdoor recreation. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Decision MakingNatural Resource ManagementPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
