About the Position: The person in this position will provide military personnel services to members of the supported Armed Services. The person is also responsible for providing information and guidance to service members assigned to a major Military Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
Duties
Screen monthly promotion cut off scores, sequence numbers to determine upcoming promotions and obtains promotion orders/certificates.
Conduct quality control review of evaluation and process accordingly.
Manage the numerous military automated program systems for updating military personnel records.
Prepare strength reports as requested, illustrating current strength updates for command information.
Develop various administrative and management procedures for use throughout the organization to assure efficient and effective operations.
Utilize automation equipment and systems to produce a variety of correspondence, reports, and documents based on own research, program knowledge, and professional skill in use of equipment.
Serve as program manager for the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) evaluation’s program.
Coordinate with higher headquarters staff to obtain necessary concurrence on all awards based on guidance provided in respective regulations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing various automated system to manage and/or track personnel actions; preparing various reports for command teams; Preparing, verifying and/or monitoring personnel actions for civilians and/or military. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
