Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Program manager, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the office of Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Serving as the Fatalities Management Coordinator, managing the day-to-day operations of support activities and assigned programs and projects.
Providing coordination associated with development and growth of the Victim Identification Program, a federal disaster informatics system.
Coordinating specific programs or project areas related to victim identification and fatalities management for the National Disaster Medical System Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team community.
Acting as the principal fatalities management advisor to HHS Regional Emergency Coordinators, Office of Response, and the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response for regional emergency preparedness, interagency, and international planning.
Developing policies and procedures to assess, monitor, perform cleanup actions, and provide resources to meet resource requirements and to transition from sustained response operations to short-term recovery in a mass fatality incident.
Providing regular instruction, consultation, and outreach to key internal and external stakeholders on operational issues, feedback, advances, and initiatives relating to information management and electronic records systems through training sessions, field exercises and networking opportunities.
Establishing on-going and episodic monitoring and reporting to analyze concepts and factors relative to long, mid, and short-range management strategies to facilitate more efficient and effective department operations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT:
Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:
1. Experience with victim identification principles in a disaster setting, including an understanding of antemortem and postmortem functions.
2. Working with federal, state, tribe, or local governments carrying out stakeholder engagement.
3. Working with local profit and/or non-profit agencies such as hospital systems, social service systems, public health systems, school systems, and/or government systems.
4. Researching, developing, and leading projects focused on health systems, public health, disaster behavioral health environmental health, disaster preparedness and response.
