About the Position: This position serves as a Program Director/Manager, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Energy and Sustainability) with overall responsibility for energy security initiatives that have Army-wide impact, located at Arlington, VA.

Duties

Assist the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Energy and Sustainability) in their role as the Army’s Senior Energy Executive (SEE). Provide program development and oversight, strategic planning, policy recommendations, and establishes goals and objectives for energy initiatives. Coordinate programs from installations to Headquarters, Department of the Army with full authority for management decisions related to program initiatives. Manage methods, practices, and process of technical disciplines related to energy efficiency, security, and resilience, through carbon-free solutions, including nuclear energy technologies. Serve as a Program Director/Manager, Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Energy and Sustainability) with overall responsibility for energy security initiatives that have Army-wide impact.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing carbon free energy and energy resilience programs; representing leadership at meetings on matters relating to energy efficiency, on-site renewable & nuclear energy generation, and energy security goals; monitoring energy efficiency, clean energy, and energy resilience programs to ensure the integration of program goals and objectives; and advising higher level management officials of issues involving the relationship of energy programs and their impact on energy initiatives. . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementBudget AdministrationOrganizational Awareness Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-???????14).
