This position is located in the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Pacific West Area, with one vacancy in Davis, CA This is an Internship, excepted service position not-to-exceed 13 months and may be extended in increments of 1 year following the initial 13 months for up to 8 years in total, when the student intern remains eligible for the program. Duties

Performs simple repetitive tasks incidental to the research project such as cleaning research areas and equipment, disposing of biological waste, and organizing common use work areas. Performs simple repetitive tasks incidental to the research project. Sample preparation and data collection associated with research project. Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner. Ensures data entries are complete and accurate. Prepares routine lab media, and solutions according to established methods; uses common laboratory equipment and apparatus such.

Requirements

• Must be in good academic standing as defined by the agency as defined
• Enrolled at least half-time at a qualifying educational institution

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on the closing date of the announcement. Program Eligibility Requirements Applicants must be currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment from a qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis. Applicants must be seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) and be in good academic standing (GPA of 2.0 or equivalent) throughout the duration of their program. Please see "Required Documents". PATHWAYS ELIGIBILITY At the GS-03 Education: Completion of 1 full academic year of post-high school study.

Education
