About the Position: Serve as the Test Administrator at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS). Administers written or computer based Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Enlistment Test sessions at a MEPS or other remote testing sites to determine individual qualifications for military service enlistment. Administers written or computer-based Student Test Sessions at high schools and other educational institutions and occasionally conducts related special tests.

Duties

Administer written and computer based Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) Enlistment Test sessions to determine individual qualifications for military service. Administer written and computer based student test sessions at education institutions. Responsible for the security and accountability of student test booklets, at home, during transport, and at the testing location. Brief applicants on testing procedures, starts and ends test segments. Answers phone calls and email queries from recruiters, liaisons, applicants, school representatives, other MEPS and USMEPCOM Conducts quality control checks of testing material to ensure compliance with operating procedures and regulations. Use standard troubleshoot to resolve Internet/website problems and seeks assistance when needed. Coordinate all aspects and determine facilities to accommodate the number of applicants being tested.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Employee must possess a valid driver’s license to conduct test in remote locations or at schools.
  • Employee may travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Incumbent must complete and receive a favorable determination from required background checks.

OR Education: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.
