You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the Training Air Wing TWO of TRAWING TWO.
Duties
You will perform account maintenance and accounting support work requiring a basic understanding of accounting systems, policies, and procedures to examine, verify and maintain and reconcile accounts and accounting data, prepare and analyze reports.
You will examine documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, compliance with regulations for goods and services provided to or by the Government.
You will determine pay, payroll records maintenance and completion of reports pertaining to civilian employees of the Federal Government.
You will perform work to establish, maintain, correct and close pay accounts for active, reserve, or retired armed forces personnel and their annuitants.
You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintain ledgers, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data.
Requirements

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing automated financial management systems (such as the Standard Accounting, Budgeting and Reporting System (SABRS), Command Financial Management System (CFMS), Defense Travel System (DTS), Government Travel Credit Card (GTCC)) to research and verify financial data to support accounting, budgetary, or payroll functions.
For GS-06 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing automated accounting support to include entering data and accounting codes into accounting systems and preparing financial reports to support accounting, budgetary, or payroll functions.

Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
One academic year of graduate education, where the graduate education is DIRECTLY related to the work of the position.
or
A combination of graduate education and experience that equates to one year of experience, where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
