This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1232P02 and is part of the FL JFHQ, National Guard.

Duties

As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), GS-0346-11, you will serve as an advisor to the Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist on all Combat Service Support (CSS) STAMIS systems and Automated Logistical Programs. Identify funding requirements to support SASMO operations, justify and submit budget requirements for State operating budget, and execute funds received. Serve as a Systems Administrator for all STAMIS systems and Automated Logistical Programs and as the technical expert within the state/territory responsible for providing technical and functional guidance for serviced STAMIS and Automated Logistical Programs. Troubleshoot diagnostic and resolution of technical problems identified in trouble tickets and initial setup of serviced STAMIS computers. Serve as the primary point of contact for Functional Administrators and users of the serviced database(s). Provide direction and guidance to supported CSS STAMIS users in the submission of automated systems problem reports and/or change proposals. Serve as the primary point of contact on all CSS automation continuity of operations plan (COOP), development, and execution. Perform quasi-supervisory duties and responsibilities of the office such as planning overall work operations, setting priorities, and establishing objectives for the mission of the office.

Qualifications

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Excepted Federal Civil Service "under the authority of 32 U.S.C. 709", and is open to Category 1: All permanent/indefinite (T32 and T5) technicians employed by the agency Category 3: All current military members of the Florida National Guard; and Category 4: All individuals who qualify for membership in the Florida National Guard and are willing to become T32 Dual Status technicians. First consideration will be given to Category 1. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses, Recruitment or Relocation Incentive will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. If the military tour member, who has reemployment rights to this position, does not exercise his/her reemployment rights within 5 years, the selected individual may remain in this position without further competition. If an on-board individual employed in the Title 5 excepted civil service accepts this position, he/she will receive an indefinite appointment (Tenure 3). GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-11 Must have at least 1-year equivalent to at least next lower grade level; experience, education, or training which includes identifying activities involving logistical support operations; experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan; experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, manpower management, and/or automated data processing to meet the logistics plan; experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions.
