About the Position: This position is located at the Army Substance Abuse Program Office, Fort Carson, CO.

Duties

Administer, control, and coordinate the installation biochemical drug testing program in accordance with DOD, DA, and Installation Management Command (IMCOM) directives and policies. Train Unit Prevention Leaders (UPLs). Serve as technical advisor to unit commanders. Knowledge of electronic data processing to maintain automated information/reporting systems and prepare statistical reports. Comprehensive knowledge of specimen collection and handling of urine drug testing specimens. Knowledge of environmental requirements for storage of chemicals and laboratory working conditions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A National Agency Check w/ Inquiries (NACI) background investigation is required.
  • Obtain and maintain a DA DTC Certification within 9 months of assuming duties.
  • TDY may be required 5% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-06. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
