About the Position: This position is located at Fort Cavazos, Texas.

Duties

Incumbent will work directly for the Chief, Department of Family and Community Medicine or delegated representative of the parent medical treatment facility, who provides overall guidance and objectives. Continually analyze the operating environment through data, observation, interviews, complaints, wellness and quality metrics, and other sources to assess the efficiency of the clinics. Responsible for the oversight of the daily operations of the clinics to include oversight of all senior administrative and clinical staff. Coordinate closely with clinical and administrative activities on matters that affect costs, program effectiveness, established wellness measures, and standards of healthcare delivery. Establish and implement, long and short term policies and budget execution plans at multiple sites. Assumes the leadership role in developing internal personnel management policies for all employees (military, civilian, and contract employees) of the Patient Centered Medical Homes (PCMH)/Community Based Medical Home (CBMH).

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
• A pre-placement drug test is required.
• May be required to complete a 1 Year Supervisory Probationary Period if not already completed.
• Position is designated as Inclement Weather Essential. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.
• May be required to Shift-work/nights/weekends/OT/on-call work weekend call duties and evenings.
