About the Position: This is a Military Intelligence Civilian Excepted Career Program (MICECP) position. If selected, initial assignment will be to this position and the duties described and, in accordance with MICECP procedures, will be subject to involuntary reassignment into any MICECP GG-132-14 position worldwide based on program needs. Generally, these rotations occur every 3-5 years. The selectee is also subject to deployment in support of U.S. contingency operations.

Duties

Serves as an Army Operations Group (AOG) full spectrum HUMINT division, Plans and Future Operations officer. Oversees one or more teams who perform liaison, staff, and planning activities in support of Army HUMINT planning and coordination requirements. Coordinates the activities of the signature reduction team and six HUMINT Coordination Elements (HCE) that coordinates AOG’s integration into Army Service Component Commands (ASCC) and support to specified Direct Reporting Units (DRU).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
  • Must sign and comply with the provisions of a mobility (rotation) agreement. Mobility may include unaccompanied tours.
  • May be required to perform TDY of at least 20% of the time and may be subject to extended TDY.
  • Must successfully complete all required certification courses and training for the discipline, position, and grade as directed by the CG, INSCOM, the MICECP Program Manager or otherwise established in the program manager guide.
  • In accordance with the MICECP Career guide, the incumbent of this position must successfully complete the Civilian Education System (CES) Intermediate Course.

This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
