You will serve as a FACILITY OPERATIONS MANAGER in the office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, and Information Warfare (C5I)/Cyber Directorate of COMNAVSURFPAC.

Duties

You will identify and prioritize facility and utility requirements, including the development, planning, scheduling, acquisition, budget expenditures, execution and oversight of all facilities services. You will receive and develop work requirements from customers, coordinate the initiation of work products, support and acquisition planning, balance workload with available resources and remain abreast of work order execution and schedules. You will provide analytical reports for tasks related to individual building equipment/structure operations, maintenance, and utilization for long range (5-10 years) facility planning. You will prepare initial design concepts, programming documents, cost estimates, economic analyses, plans, and specifications for maintenance projects to be executed through contract or with Government in-house resources. You will serve as a Contracting Officer Representative for assigned contracts and provide oversight of facilities contractors. You will utilize knowledge of building systems, maintenance and construction techniques, and the capabilities of various skilled trades to review projects, studies, and other material for completeness and conformance to policies. You will apply principles, concepts, and practices concerning equipment, facility, or service operations to oversee identification of deficiencies and the analysis of facility and equipment requirements against customer needs.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: coordinating a facilities program consisting of preventive and emergency maintenance, repair, or construction to identify and prioritize facility requirements for compliance with standards, policies, and procedures.
