About the Position: Serve as the Chief, Resource Management Branch, Management Support Directorate, and as principal advisor to the DCS, G-9, ADCS, G-9, ASA IE&E and the PDASA as well as all directors, on financial management functions related to budget execution and programming for both the ASA IE&E and the ODCS, G-9

Duties

Execute Operations Maintenance Accounts (OMA), Army Family Housing (AFH) and Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDTE) budgets for the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9 (ODCS, G-9). Serve in support of secretariat level supporting and advising Political Appointees. Serve in support Head Quarters Department of Army for the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9. Supervise civilian positions, employees that are grades up to and including GS-14, engaged in professional program and budget policy and technical work.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.
  • This position may require temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 5% of this position's time.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period may be required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementFinancial Management AnalysisLeadership Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
