This National Guard position is for a FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, Position Description Number T6001800 and is part of the 224 ADG, National Guard.
This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.
Duties
As a Facility Operations Specialist, GS-1640-12, you will lead the CE Flight plan, build and renovate infrastructure; provide continuous reliable Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), power and fire suppression services; and maintain installation facilities, grounds and access in support of the EADS mission and the people that perform it on a 24/7/365 basis.
Requirements

- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. Must be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate valid driver's license.
- Serves "on call" and may be required to be available after duty hours when problems arise. The incumbent is subject to recall seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance within one year of appointment.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a knowledge of equipment maintenance work, or skill in reading engineering drawings and specifications, using test instruments, making computations, and keeping records. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: - Must have at least 36 months experience, education or training which demonstrates the knowledge of, and skill in applying, a comprehensive range of principles, concepts, and practices concerning equipment, facility, or service operations with complicated technical requirements that have no clear precedent or plan. Experience overseeing and implementing a program involving the identification and resolution of difficult issues or problems. Experience preparing budgets based on plans for maintenance, repair work, new construction alteration projects, replacement of existing equipment, or increase in services and processes to ensure program effectiveness.
