You will serve as a SUPV FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the RESOURCE MANAGEMENT DIRECTORATE of COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU.
Duties
You will serve as a point of contact for the execution of resources regarding cradle-to-grave travel support, including travel planning, coordination, order writing, and entitlements and committing and obligating travel funds.
You will analyze travel trends and procedures to develop and improve travel policies, SOPs, and unique stand-alone travel systems.
You will audit transactions, conducts research into any discrepancies, and ensures accuracy, timeliness, and proper financial principles and standards practiced.
You will monitor and review work of financial technicians executing travel resources to ensure accuracy and completeness.

- This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret/ SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- You will be responsible for an after-hours cell phone on a rotating basis.
- You will be required to report to the command when requested.
- You may be required to travel on military or civilian aircraft or waterborne craft, deploy onboard ships, or serve at remote sites as required.
Qualifications
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing travel support including booking, issuing and exchanging international and domestic tickets utilizing a Global Distribution System (e.g. Gaileo, Sabre, Worldspan, Apollo, and Amadeus) AND auditing transactions, conducting research into any discrepancies and ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper financial principles are practiced.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing travel support including booking, issuing and exchanging international and domestic tickets utilizing a Global Distribution System (e.g. Gaileo, Sabre, Worldspan, Apollo, and Amadeus).
