THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a FUEL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM OPERATOR, Position Description Number D2428000 and is part of the PENNSYLVANIA NATIONAL GUARD, National Guard. 1 or more Position(s) may be hired against this Announcement. INDEFINITE Position may lead to permanent assignment without further advertisement.

Duties

As a Fuel Distribution System Worker, WG-5413-09, you will organize, administer and evaluate a segment of the fuels quality assurance program for the organization. Direct, inspect, operate and maintain a complete fuels distribution system(s) to receive, store, transfer and issue both aviation and ground fuels. Operate one or more types of special purpose design aviation and ground fuel tank truck vehicles having a capacity of up to 6,000 gallons and gross vehicle weight of 70,000 pounds used for fueling/defueling various types of aircraft and ground fuels applications such as AGE, power production, heating and engine test cells. Operate, inspect and perform all required maintenance and repair on 400-5,000 gallon cryogenic storage tanks. Perform other duties as assigned. Operate one or more types of special purpose design aviation and ground fuel tank truck vehicles having a capacity of up to 6,000 gallons and gross vehicle weight of 70,000 pounds used for fueling/defueling various types of aircraft and ground fuels applications such as AGE, power production, heating and engine test cells. Operate, inspect and perform all required maintenance and repair on 400-5,000 gallon storage tanks. Assess, monitor and review assigned Self-Assessment Communicators utilizing the Management Internal Control Toolset (MICT) program. Perform other duties as assigned.

APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. Manpower # L0870214 WG-09 $27.91-$32.55 Developmental WG-10 $29.22-$34.10 *NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Secret Security Clearance GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and to safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: WG-09: Application must indicate 18 months experience or training operating, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting and overhauling fuel systems and components. Experience or training initiating and controlling the movement and storage of fuel supplies by operating high pressure systems with a series of terminals connected by cross-country pipelines or multi-fuel storage and distribution facilities connected by a network of internal pipelines. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: WG-10: Application must indicate 18 months experience maintaining a fuel distribution system that includes a Type III Hydrant fuel system equivalent to a small fuel farm, fuels laboratory, cryogenic storage, bulk storage, base service station, fuels information service center, and mobile fueling operations. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
