About the Position: This position is for 10th MDG USAF Academy Medical Records/Patient Administration located in Colorado Springs, CO. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Establishes systems required to collect, record and report data, and track and aggregate data for the following processes and outcomes. Retrieves records to be studied and collects data. Develops presentations using data that is downloaded or otherwise retrieved. Pulls records for release of information requests.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination. A candidate selected to this position will be required to sign a statement consenting to annual seasonal influenza vaccination.
• Required to obtain necessary immunizations (i.e., Hepatitis B, annual influenza) unless exempted by a physician.
• This position has a TDY or business travel requirement of 5% of the time to various locations. This may require travel on military aircraft, ships, and vehicles.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) uses a variety of medical terminology to review records and/or assign codes 2) pull records for release of information request; 3) using automated systems to enter data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
