You will serve as an EDITORIAL ASSISTANT in the PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICE of RECRUIT TRAINING COMMAND.

Duties

You will assist in the management of content of social media accounts. You will use desktop publishing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access, Excel) to edit rough and final drafts. You will organize data to ensure appropriate formats comply with policies and regulations. You will discuss with supervisor major deviations with editorial edits to obtain recommendation for best way to proceed. You will compose rough and final drafts using desktop publishing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access, Excel).

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing automated software, such as Microsoft Office Suite to create, edit, and proofread correspondence, in addition to possessing an adept knowledge of proper spelling, capitalization, grammar, and formatting; 2) Managing an organization?s social media accounts; 3) Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders; and 4) Using photography equipment, such as a digital camera and programs, such as Adobe Lightroom.
