You will serve as a Modeling and Simulation Senior Intelligence Analyst in the Integrated Modeling and Simulation Department (TAC-04) of FARRAGUT TECHNICAL ANALYSIS CENTER. All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties

Serves as the Senior Intelligence Analyst (SIA) and subject matter expert for engineering modeling and simulation to provide advanced engineering analysis within the Integrated Modeling and Simulation Department (TAC-04). Responsible for organizing, planning, directing and advising divisional/departmental resources to produce Scientific and Technical Intelligence (S and TI) based naval threat representative integrated weapon system models and simulations. Responsible for developing various concepts of operations (CONOPS) of engineering tool development and implementation for use in modeling naval threat representative integrated weapon systems. Represents Farragut, ONI and the Department of the Navy at senior national level and foreign forums. The incumbent will act as the Farragut liaison to NAVAIR for communication and coordination of naval threat modeling and simulation scenarios to include requirements generation, design, development, verification, and validation.

  • This position may require a 2-year trial period.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and executing engineering analysis on the integrated models and simulations, while mentoring colleagues on usage; 2) Reviewing divisional, departmental modeling ,simulation products for accuracy and will be responsible for the development of technical contracts to support modeling and simulation efforts; 3) Organizing, planning, directing and advising divisional/departmental resources to produce Scientific and Technical Intelligence (S&TI) based naval threat representative integrated weapon system models and simulations.
