About the Position: This position is in the Naval Medical Center Office of Dir of Resource Management, San Diego, California. San Diego is a city on the Pacific coast of California known for its beaches, parks and warm climate. Immense Balboa Park is the site of the San Diego Zoo, as well as numerous art galleries, art studios museums and gardens. A deep harbor is the Home to a large active naval fleet, with the USS Midway an aircraft-carrier-turned-museum, open to the public

Duties

Perform continuous strategic planning and evaluation of all supply and logistics policies. Advise Directorate management on supply status and budgetary requests. Develops statistical data and narrative statements to justify work unit reorganization, or position restructuring. Provide authoritative interpretations and guidance to management officials and other supply specialists at the same and lower levels in the organization. Serve as command logistic representative for southwest region (TRI-CARE regions 9 and 10) Tri-Service Product Review Board. Serve on inter-agency or inter-organization committees and groups to identify and resolve, or to assign responsibility for resolving supply issues.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG).
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
