This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Southern Plains Region, Anadarko Agency, Office of the Superintendent in Anadarko, Oklahoma. ANY RELOCATION EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH REPORTING FOR DUTY WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SELECTED EMPLOYEE.

Duties

MAJOR DUTIES: Incumbent analyzes, monitors, and evaluates program effectiveness for various programs within the Division: Perform an analysis of the data and generates a variety of periodic or special reports. Research and/or analyzes standard program issues. Provide support to the Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent with the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of plans, policies, guidelines, and standards employed in the delivery of program services. Coordinate special projects assigned by the Superintendent and/or Deputy Superintendent relating to information on Agency programs. Perform administrative work, which includes management of the Superintendent and Deputy Superintendent's schedule and/or day-to-day plans. Receive and review all incoming correspondence and manage and/or prepare responses to correspondence. Provide support, assist in the development, implementation, coordination and evaluation of plans, policies, guidelines, and standards employed in the delivery of program serves. Work includes determining the type of information required to evaluate the effectiveness of the Division in accomplishing mandated responsibilities, devising methods and procedures to gather and compile pertinent data, and conducting analytical studies to ascertain program accomplishments and deficiencies.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Administrative and Management Positions, and Individual Occupational Requirements for GS-0343: Management and Program Analysis). SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-9: I have at least 1 year of full-time specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-7 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). This experience includes administering a records management program; budget administration; making travel arrangements; processing vouchers; preparing and reviewing correspondence; arranging schedules for conferences, meetings, and training sessions; ensuring that all requests for action or information are acted upon and due dates are met; identifies a need, gathers, organizes, and maintains information, determines its importance and accuracy, and communicates it by a variety of methods; procedures for assessing, evaluating, and monitoring programs or projects for compliance with Federal laws, regulations, and guidance. OR EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree, OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree (36 semester hours, 54 quarter hours or equivalent), OR LL.B. or J.D., must be related to position. GRADUATE EDUCATION: Graduate education must be related to the occupation and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the position to be filled. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.

If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must send a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript in order to receive credit for that education which shows the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
