About the Position: This position is withing the 59TH MDW Wilford Hall, located at Lackland AFB, Texas.

Duties

Develops, analyze, evaluate, advise and oversee the operation for the information mission area sub discipline of records management to include the Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Programs. Serves as a liaison for internal and external offices, organizations, agencies, etc. receiving organizational support on all issues related to records management. Monitors and coordinates records transfer, retirement, and retrieval from the service provider and from appropriate archives. Keep abreast of new regulations, information technology, best practices, and trends in records and information management. Analyzes and evaluates findings and makes recommendation for corrective action. Implements and enforces Records Management program disciplines and identifies procedures and methodologies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency in the life cycle management of records and documentation.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.

  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position requires Basic Life Support training certification from, or in accordance with, the American Heart Association and American Red Cross.
  • This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons in accordance with Army Regulation 40-562, Chapters 3 and 4.
  • A candidate tentatively selected for appointment to this position will be required to sign a statement consenting to annual seasonal influenza vaccination.
  • Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact.
