Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below for IMPORTANT additional information. The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as SCIF entry controller providing frontline support for access and protection of sensitive compartmented information (SCI) resources.

Duties

Serves as SCIF Entry Controller and Personnel Security Representative. Serves as LCWI Physical Security Representative. LCWI Event Planning Security Coordinator. Serves as LCWI Alternate Facility Manager. Provides security assistance to the SSO on organizational plans and projects to include construction designs and management of the LCWI SCIF and temporary secure working areas (TSWA).

Requirements

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP)

  • This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
  • Shift work and emergency overtime may be required. The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments

  • of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative. Recall to duty and overtime may be a requirement of this position

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions. This is a GG-07 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-07 duties for the "Technician/Administrative Support" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-07 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include Knowledge of and experience with AF and DoD security regulations, instructions, practices, and procedures related to force protection, physical, and personnel security processes and procedures. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. Ability to plan, organize, and perform support functions of an organization. 2. Knowledge and skill in both oral and written communications including the use of personal computers and their associated word processing, database, spread sheet, and graphics software. 3. knowledge and understand the security organizations and inter-relationships of DoD, DNI, DIA, CIA, NSA, USAF, and contractors. Requires broad in-depth professional security background knowledge in representing the unit on interagency security programs. 4. Knowledge and experience with interpreting and applying security policy and procedures as promulgated by DoD, DNI, CIA, DIA, NSA, USAF, and local standard operating procedures. 5. Knowledge of inspection requirements, procedures, and reports to perform inspections, evaluate compliance with security directives, and monitor organizational or unit corrective actions. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
