You will serve as an Equipment, Facilities, and Services Assistant in the Facilities and Equipment Maintenance, Maintenance Planning division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST. This announcement uses the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.

Duties

You will process equipment and facility related maintenance requests submitted by depot personnel create maintenance work orders in MAXIMO software system. You will ensure all required information is provided for each work order so it may be properly processed by the appropriate scheduling personnel. You respond to inquiries regarding status of MAXIMO work orders. You will maintain and keep organization of the Plant Maintenance Technical Library. You will answer questions and/or provide feedback regarding plant maintenance requirements and/or new or existing work orders working towards accomplishing mutual goals and objectives. You will accomplish other duties as assigned for this position.

Qualifications

GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Recognizing the dimensions of the problems involved, collecting the necessary information, establishing the facts, and taking action based upon established guidelines; 2) Dealing with personnel and providing excellent customer service to ensure coordination both internal and external within an organization; 3) Independently completing assignments in accordance with accepted practices, resolving most conflicts that arise; 4) Responding to inquiries regarding status of MAXIMO work orders; and 5) Processing initial equipment and facility related maintenance requests submitted by depot personnel via either telephone or email. GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Demonstrating knowledge or experience in dealing with operations, regulations, principles, and peculiarities of assigned work tasks; 2) Pulling and sorting weekly and Bi-weekly reports for management or higher authorities; 3) Utilizing computer software application skills to complete job assignments via word processing, developing spread sheets, and preparing and communicating with others through email; 4) Demonstrated ability to acquire MAXIMO skills through on-the-job training; and 5) Maintaining and keeping organization of assigned technical library (e.g. Plant Maintenance Library) in order to organize, preserve, access, and disseminate information. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). To qualify based on education:

GS-05 level:

You have successfully completed four years of education above high school level.
Or
You have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience equals one hundred percent.
