You will serve as a PURCHASING AGENT in the NAWCWD PROCUREMENT GROUP, SAP/PCARD/PROPERTY DEPT
of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE, located in Ridgecrest, CA.
Duties
You will administer purchase orders that require extensive monitoring and oversight to resolve complex problems (e.g., protests, claims, terminations, or substantial modifications).
You will develop and select criteria/technical ranking factors for purchases of a variety of detailed commercial service or construction projects.
You will negotiate, award, and administer small purchase orders that involve the use of instruments that are not firm fixed price (e.g., time and material, labor hour, or other unpriced small purchase orders).
You will execute the purchase, rental, or lease of supplies, services, and equipment using open market simplified purchase procedures above the micro-purchase.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-8/9) or pay band (DG-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Executing the purchase, rental, or lease of supplies, services, and equipment using open market simplified purchase procedures above the micro-purchase threshold; 2) Administering purchase orders that require extensive monitoring and oversight; 3) Developing and selecting criteria/technical ranking factors for purchases of a variety of detailed commercial service or construction projects; 4) Interpreting guidelines, adapting procedures, deciding approaches, and resolving specific problems.
