The selectee of this position serves as a Financial Analyst responsible for providing technical assistance and guidance on issues arising from the seizure, management, or disposition of a variety of assets including operating businesses, business interests, and financial instruments (e.g. cryptocurrency, brokerage accounts, investment accounts, etc.).
This position is located in the Asset Forfeiture Division/Arlington, VA.
Duties
As a Financial Analyst at the GS-1160-12/13 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Providing technical advice, asset evaluation, and assistance regarding seized and forfeited businesses, commercial real estate, and/or financial instruments.
Making recommendations relating to the management, protection, and disposition of businesses, commercial real estate, and/or financial instruments.
Conducting briefings, presentations, and training for the USMS and other agencies' staff both virtual and in person.

Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable determination of suitability for a Public Trust position.
- May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period.
- Status Candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).

Qualifications
TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit Promotion and Veterans Employment Opportunity Act (VEOA) Status applicants must provide an SF50 Notice of Personnel Action that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF50 must include the position, title, series, grade, step, tenure, type of service (Competitive or Excepted) and career status (career or career-conditional). No award SF50 will be accepted as proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility.
One year at the GS-11 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 grade level.
One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 grade level.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the education and/or experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply.
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must meet the following:
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
Providing technical advice on financial matters related to forfeited businesses, commercial real estate, and/or financial instruments to assist department members in asset management;
Collaborating with private and government stakeholders with the expertise to ensure that the assets are managed in a manner proportional to the type and value of the business, commercial real estate, and/or financial instruments;
Preparing briefing materials and summary reports of program development, performance, operations, and accomplishments to document results; and
Performing financial analyses and evaluations with consideration to securities, international finance, investments, and banking.
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must meet the following:
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
Conducting briefings, presentations, and training for internal and external stakeholders both virtual and in person to promote an organization's mission and strategic and financial goals;
Providing technical advice on financial matters related to forfeited businesses, commercial real estate, and/or financial instruments to assist department members in asset management;
Evaluating assets to determine values of forfeited businesses, commercial real estate, and/or financial instruments in order to manage and dispose of assets appropriately; and
Making recommendations related to the management, protection, and disposal of businesses, commercial real estate, and/or financial instruments to secure these property assets.
