Will serve as an ATSS (NAS Area Specialist), at Denver Service Operations Center (SOC).The ATSS at this level is recognized as the subject matter expert in their field. Incumbent will perform a variety of functions directly relating to the operations of the NAS. Focus is on the availability and reliability of the services and products provided to users of the NAS.
Duties
Recognized as the principal technical specialist on legacy and newly developed systems within a large facility or multiple facilities over a large geographical area. Responsible for the planning, directing, coordinating, monitoring, and maintenance activities associated with the management of assigned NAS systems/facilities.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
- Designated or Random Drug Testing required.
- Successful completion of a security investigation will be required.
- A valid state driver's license is required.
- All or none of the applicants may be interviewed.
- A Signed Supervisory Endorsement is required for promotion; not for ingrade or downgrades.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidate must show experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility that demonstrates an exclusive of and experience in technology system interrelationships, and management of civilian or military automated aviation, navigation, and electronics systems. Generally, experience at the next lower level (Pay Band H/Level III or equivalent), meets the minimum qualifications for this position as long as the experience supports the DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES identified below.Examples of experience for this position include: Extensive knowledge of and experience in technology system interrelationships, and management of civilian or military automated aviation, navigation and electronics systems. Proficient with operational software tools such as Peabody, TECHNET, TOT, CWP, FSEP, JAi, SMIS, NAP, WIT, Security and Safety programs, and can utilize software such as Excel, Power Point and Word.
