The primary purpose of this position is to exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the Materiel Management Flight in the
Logistics Readiness Squadron. Materiel Management Flight is responsible for the centralized command and control, planning, and execution of all Wing customer supply services.
Duties
Position Duties
Duty 1 - Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Materiel Management Flight. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization, supply, and transportation objectives.
Duty 2 - Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors.
Duty 3 - Represents the Materiel Management Flight with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with all levels of management throughout the wing and base; will represent the organization as the Materiel Management Flight Manager.
Duty 4 - Directs the Materiel Management Flight that is responsible for stocking, storing, issuing, managing, inventorying, and inspecting DoD supplies and equipment for the installation.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the Specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Logistics Management Series,0346; w/ no Individual Occupational Requirements for the series in conjunction with the Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include independently planning, organizing and overseeing the activities of an organization. Knowledge of the applicable logistics management principles, concepts, policies, and laws; logistics functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems; and all aspects of integrated logistics support.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of logistics management operations in supply and transportation policies, practices, and techniques including knowledge of military and commercial transportation programs, storage and materials equipment policies, preservation, packaging, and cargo movement and materiel management.\
Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and apprise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options concerning cargo movement and materiel management
Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
