You will serve as a SECRETARY (OFFICE AUTOMATION) in the DON BUMED Administration Department, Administration Directorate, NAVMEDREADLOGCMD.
Duties
You will perform a wide variety of administrative duties in an executive office setting that requires daily interaction with senior DOD officials, including Flag level officers.
You will make travel arrangements for the Commanding Officer and Executive Officer as necessary based on general travel intentions, known preferences of traveler and in accordance with appropriate travel regulations.
You will review correspondence for clarity, completeness of reply, proper format, conformance with procedural instructions, grammar, typographical accuracy, required enclosures, and contains pertinent background information.
You will be responsible for the accurate receipt, control, logging, safekeeping, and neccessary action on all classified material received.
You will operate automated office systems environments and computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, charts, and presentation graphics.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Coordinating office schedules, appointments, meetings, conferences and other commitments.
Receiving visitors and telephone calls to the office and determining the nature of requests to direct callers to appropriate staff.
Providing periodic assistance with special projects or assuming additional responsibilities outside of normal job routine.
Maintaining subject matter files and records relating to the work on the unit.
Reviewing correspondence for spelling, typographical errors, conformance to formats and procedural requirements.
