Duties

Requirements

• A trial or probationary period may be required in accordance with agency policy.
• A post-secondary student appointment expires 120 days after completion of the designated academic course of study, unless the student is selected for noncompetitive conversion.
• Post-secondary students being converted to positions covered under Administrative Careers with America (ACWA) must be assessed prior to non-competitive conversion.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Qualifications

About the Position: Serves as a realty specialist, applying a knowledge of real estate acquisition, and regulations and practices for leases, easements, permits and licenses. Incumbent possesses a working knowledge of the realty practices of various state and local jurisdictions in addition to federal realty laws, policies, and regulations is required. Responsibilities involve real estate market and financial analyses. Recommendations, decisions and actions regarding acquisition, management and disposal transactions require a balancing between fulfilling the stakeholder real estate requirements and negotiating an economic agreement satisfactory to the lessor/developer while protecting the Governments interest, utilizing sound business practices. Who May Apply: To be eligible for consideration you must meet the definition of insert post-secondary student or recent graduate as defined below: Post-Secondary Student: a person who, (1) is currently enrolled in, and in good academic standing at, a full-time program at an institution of higher education; and (2) is making satisfactory progress towards receipt of a baccalaureate or graduate degree; and (3) has completed at least one year of the program. OR Recent Graduate: a person who was awarded a degree by an institution of higher education not more than two years before the date of the appointment of the applicant. Exception: For a person who has completed a period of obligated service in a uniformed service of more than four years, the degree may be awarded by an institution of higher education not more than four years before the date of the appointment of the applicant. In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
