This position is located on the Umpqua National Forest, Supervisor's Office Roseburg, OR.
The incumbent serves as an Administrative Support Assistant and is responsible for providing administrative support to the Unit.

Duties
Track and maintain the Unit’s office supplies, and budget cost spreadsheets to compare prices increases
Monitor leave reports to prepare leave audits for employees.
Monitor the distribution/coordination of incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Serve as the Unit Collection Officer by entering sales data into databases to track sales, including the sale of timber related items.
Monitor payroll reports to ensure temporary employees are paid.
Create and/or maintain spreadsheets, tracking the location of all official records on the Unit, including all off site buildings.
Enter time and attendance for temporary employees not assigned government computer access
Maintain electronic filing system and pertinent references such as manuals and handbooks.
Requirements
- You must be a US Citizen or US National.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.

Specialized Expereince:
For the GS-05 level: You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level OR a Bachelor's degree or 4 years of successfully completed education above high school;The education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
