This position is located in the Administrative Services Division, Office, Assistant Register and Dir Operations, Copyright Office. 

Duties

Copyright is a form of protection provided by the laws of the United States (title 17, U. S. Code) to the authors of “original works of authorship,” including literary, dramatic, musical, artistic, and certain other intellectual works. This protection is available to both published and unpublished works. The United States Copyright Office, a service unit of the Library of Congress, administers the administration of Copyright Law, and provides Copyright registration and other services to the citizens of the United States and others concerned with American copyrights.

Qualifications

Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. Knowledge of training program principles, practices, techniques, and procedures. ** Knowledge of human capital principles, practices, and management. ** Knowledge of training program development, policy and evaluation. ** Knowledge of organizational mission, programs, regulations, and goals. Ability to apply analytical and evaluative techniques to develop recommendations. Knowledge of program/project management and assessment techniques. Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
