Duties

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Operates gas or diesel powered engineering and construction equipment with wheeled or crawler-type traction, such as road graders, tractors with bulldozer or angle dozer blades, front-end loaders, backhoes, wheel loaders, trench diggers, and large Industrial tractors with pan or scraper attachments. Operates equipment to push, pull, pile, excavate, backfill, grade, or level earth and/or refuse. Uses equipment to perform such functions as cutting, moving, digging, grading, and rolling earth, sand, stone, and other materials to maintain ditches, road shoulders, and beds. The duty stations for the parks are: Olympic National Park: 2 Vacancy, Permanent -Career Seasonal, Full-time. Salary Range: $29.11 - $33.99 per hour Yosemite National Park: 2 Vacancies, Permanent -Career Seasonal, Full-time. Salary Range: $26.80 - $31.26 per hour Redwood National Park 1 Vacancy, Permanent -Career Seasonal, Full-time. Salary Range: $26.74 - $31.19 per hour Golden Gate National Recreation Area 2 Vacancies, Permanent -Career Seasonal, Full-time. 2 Vacancies, Permanent -Year-round, Full-time. Salary Range: $27.55 - $32.10 per hour Death Valley National Park No Current Vacancies - Additional Vacancies May Open Certain positions in this announcement are Career-Seasonal positions and subject to release and recall procedures. A permanent career-seasonal positions includes all the benefits of permanent employment but does not provide employment on a full year-round basis. As such, selectees will be in a non-pay/non-duty status for at least 2 weeks up to 6 months per year based on project requirements or weather conditions. Selectees are guaranteed to work at least 6 months per year but not more than 50 weeks per year, with the work schedule to be determined upon appointment. Non-pay status varies upon Park locations.
