You will serve as a Physical Security Specialist in the Security Admin Section of MARINE CORPS AIR FACILITY QUANTICO.
Duties
You will conduct physical security surveys of specified building and facilities, identify security deficiencies and prepare narrative reports of findings and recommendations.
You will coordinate with design specialist, operational personnel and other security specialists to determine appropriate protection systems.
You will inspect physical security devices and make recommendations for fences, locks, alarms and safes; maintain accountability for all installation keys, to include procurement, replacement, and duplication of keys, cores and locksmith equipment.
You will evaluate electronic security systems for their potential to include reviewing designs of the system.
You will issue and recoup all Law Enforcement Identification cards, flat and dome badges and maintain an accurate database.
You will perform risk analysis to identify, assess and mitigate risks from operational factors and assist in the decision making process.
You will assist in the development of security and crime prevention policy and provide security educational training that stresses security responsibilities.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license and be able to maintain a U.S. Government emergency vehicle operator's license. Must be able to operate motor vehicles under all conditions.
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance with Yankee White Presidential Support Duties Designator. TS/SCI Testing Designated Position.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Employee designated as Emergency Personnel and are required to travel elsewhere in the U.S. as directed.
- As first responders to chemical/biological attacks, must be able to train and wear individual protective equipment to includes mask, suit, boots and gloves.
- This position does not meet the definition of law enforcement officer (LEO) and is excluded from coverage as LEO for purposes of Federal Employment Retirement System-Base Annuity IAW 5 CFR, Part 842, Subpart H.
- If conducting law enforcement operations in navigable waters, incumbent must attend the Inland Boat Operator Training Program at FLETC or a similar course.
- Must pass a sanctioned medical evaluation and pass periodic retests as required.
- Failure to meet conditions of employment may result in disciplinary action or termination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing physical security duties, maintaining key control; inspecting, analyzing, and evaluating security systems; utilizing various security systems and databases; and assisting with developing security program policies and procedures.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree
OR
Have obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled
OR
Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
