The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Seller Production Management Specialist performing functions necessary to accomplish programs involving complex maintenance and modification of assigned aircraft.
Duties
Reviews all Air Force repair requirements data, initiates documentation for repair/modification actions and maintains surveillance over contract depot maintenance productions.
Tracks repair/return assets and Quality Deficiency Report (QDR) data for customers.
Maintain a file for each contract repair for review, audit, budget, and historical purposes and prepares reports.
Reviews charts for management officials.
Participates in meetings and discussions.
Accomplishes other related duties and assigned projects.

- The work is normally accomplished at a desk or modular furniture workstation in an office.
Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, 1101 Series.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes: Performing functions necessary to accomplish programs involving complex maintenance and modification of aircraft. Managing the accomplishment of repairs, modifications, and overhaul of sub-systems/items by contractual repair/interservice. Tracking repair/return assets and Quality Deficiency Report (QDR) data for customers.

OR
EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
OR
COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of the specialized experience and education as described in specialized experience and education that equals 100 percent when combined to equal the required 1 year of specialized experience needed for this position.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-09 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-11 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Thorough knowledge of applicable processes, concepts, methods and regulatory requirements for assigned functional/program areas.
2. Knowledge of government policy, procedures and regulations related to seller production management duties.
3. Ability to plan, organize, implement and coordinate support requirements for systems, subsystems, support equipment and/or items required to meet program objectives.
4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
5. Ability to analyze problems and develop timely and economical solutions.
6. Ability to read and analyze systems requirement data.
7. Ability to plan and organize work.
8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
9. Knowledge of automated data processing concepts, systems capabilities, and usage to effectively complete assignments.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
