Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment not to exceed 2 years by a current permanent Army Employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years, and may be made permanent without further competition.
Position may be filled as a TERM appointment not to exceed 2 years, if candidate is NOT a current permanent Army employee. TERM appointments may be extended up to a maximum of eight years.
Duties
Support logistical requirements for pre-deployment, redeployment and Emergency Essential (EE) personnel.
Perform Central Issuance Facility (CIF) supply assistance duties supporting the issuance and turn-in of all issued equipment.
Operate a sedan, bus, and/or light truck in support of all pre-deployment, redeployment and Emergency Essential (EE) personnel.
Assist in ordering and receiving supplies and maintains records of inventories of government property on hand and turned in.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Requires a current valid state driver's license.
- Requires overtime work as well as other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays. Assignment schedules requires continuous availability in the event of emergencies.
- Testing designated position. Per AR 600-85, incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R and must pass a urinalysis test as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Requires lifting, bending, and carrying is required to accept and deliver supplies, mail and other items.
- Use of personal protective equipment may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting inventory of excess property and/or equipment; assisting in issuance and turn-in of equipment/supplies; entering data into an automated tracking system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--NO substitution of education for experience is permitted.
