This position is being announced under FEMA's Cadre of On-call Response/Recovery Employee (CORE) Program.  This is a temporary appointment in the Excepted Service, not to exceed 2 years, with the option to extend based on workload and funding availability. Qualifications

The qualification requirements listed below must be met within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. You qualify for this position at the IC-09 level (starting salary $63,633) if you possess the following: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (IC-07) in the Federal Service.  This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of the following specialized experience:     Assisting with project management or grant management tasks, processes and procedures. Working with federal, State, Tribal, and/or local representatives in the administration of Federal grants; and, Reviewing reports related to grant operations. OR master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. OR Combination of education and experience You qualify for this position at the IC-11 level (starting salary $76,990) if you possess the following: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (IC-09) in the Federal Service.  This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of the following specialized experience:  Supporting the implementation of federal grant programs, including engaging in analysis, monitoring, and/or policy interpretation, Providing technical assistance to internal and external customers on grants projects and services; and, Developing and analyzing grant documentation or financial status reports. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M OR Combination of education and experience You qualify for this position at the IC-12 level (starting salary $92,279) if you possess the following: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (IC-11) in the Federal Service.  This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of the following specialized experience:  Implementing and advising on federal grant programs, including engaging in analysis, monitoring, and/or policy interpretation, Providing technical advice to a variety of stakeholders regarding grants management operations; and, Identifying and resolving grants-related problems or issues by independently making recommendations or decisions.
