Duties
This position is being filled under the Pathways Internship Program. The program is designed to provide students enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions, from high school to graduate level, with paid work opportunities in agencies to explore Federal careers while still in school. The Internship provides managers a ready source of student employees and potential permanent employees upon completion of the program requirements. It also provides the student with work experience directly related to the curriculum studies or career goals while offering eligibility for non-competitive conversion to permanent employment upon completion. Serves as Student Trainee in Logistics Service. Provides general support for various sections the Logistics Service to include but not limited to:
Assists with the maintenance of non-expendable equipment inventories including locating and scanning equipment, unpacking and delivering medical and office supplies and equipment.
Manning the office supply storage area, verifying orders, stocking and distributing office supplies to facility staff, filing, hand delivery of time sensitive documents, pick-up and distribution of mail, and general office/clerical support tasks.
Assists with the delivery of various medical supplies and equipment to patient care areas, restocking medical supplies and equipment, checking outdates, and general cleaning of supply storage areas and other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Flexible, based on student's class schedule

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements: Work requires long periods of walking and standing, and employee may need to lift and carry moderately heavy materials.
