Duties
Translating system requirements into application prototypes.
Analyzing and refining application software system requirements.
Designing and developing user interfaces and user experiences.
Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices to the delivery of application software services.
Requirements

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes (1) utilizing knowledge of information technology (IT) systems and services to make recommendations to management; (2) assisting in the development and improvement of application software and services; (3) applying Information System (IT) application software techniques to make changes to existing software systems; (4) Following established policies and procedures in relation to application software. My specialized experience includes, or was supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail; (2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services; and (3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
