This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, in the Physical Security Branch. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative support services essential to Branch operations; for identifying, analyzing, and recommending solutions to various programmatic elements and processes; and assisting in segments of projects involving security program operations.
Duties
As a Management and Program Analyst, you will:
Assist in segments of projects and studies which involve development of data, estimating of costs and proposing and evaluating reasons for problems of program operations.
Brief management on progress of studies to encourage understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations.
Independently prepare recurring reports and prepares special reports as directed, abstracting information from files and data in the office.
Identify, analyze, and recommend solutions to administrative support functions and processes.
Use fact-finding, research, and investigative techniques to gather information to identify inefficiencies within administrative processes and functions; conduct analysis of processes and provides, prepare detailed reports of analysis, and implement recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-09, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized for this position include experience:
Collecting, analyzing, and/or summarizing evidence to support conclusions; AND
Assisting with researching laws, regulations, guidelines, and/or approved procedures to support or develop findings; AND
Preparing briefings for supervisors based on study findings.
OR You may substitute education for general or specialized experience as follows:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
OR You may qualify by a combination of experience and education.
To combine education and experience, the total percentage of experience at the required grade level compared to the requirement, as well as the percentage of completed education compared to the requirement must equal at least 100 percent. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours (27 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-09, you must have been at the GS-07 level for 52 weeks.
