About the Position:
this position is with DoD Education Activity HQ Financial and Business OPS Dir. Information Technology Division Business Operations Branch in Peachtree City, Georgia
Management may select at the GS-12 target 13 or at the full performance GS-13 level. This recruitment provides promotion opportunity to the target grade of the position without further competition when selectee is eligible and recommended by management.
Duties
Define project scope, requirements, risks, and deliverables.
Provide proposals, cost estimates, schedules, funding expenditure and reports on projects.
Present or brief on all aspects of projects.
Provide direction and operational coordination.
Manages, leads, or administers project resources.
Use management concepts, principles, analytical and evaluative methods, and practices in order to determine the effectiveness of projects in meeting established goals/objectives.
Implement and maintain quality assurance process; participate in the process of engineering and design to ensure services are aligned with industry standards.
Evaluate policies/procedures affecting organizational project objectives.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- One year trial or probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- You may be required to sign a transportation agreement.
- This position has weight lifting requirement up to 50lbs.
- Applicants must obtain DAU Program Management, Certification within 24 months of appointment.
- Applicants must obtain PMI Project Management, Professional Certification within 12 months of appointment.
- Applicants must obtain Contracting Officer Representative within 6 months of appointment.
- Duties of this position require the incumbent to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. For the GS-12 Grade Level:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Coordinating projects for the organization to include tasks such as: establishing projected milestones, coordinating with stakeholders, and/or managing resources/funding; Conducting quality control or quality assurance reviews on projects or products for compliance with applicable federal laws, regulations and policies; and Consulting with stakeholders to provide recommendations on designs and techniques for future projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
For the GS-13 Grade Level:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Administering and coordinating projects for the organization to include tasks such as: developing techniques or processes, developing the schedule, tracking projected milestones, and/or tracking product delivery; Monitoring ongoing projects to provide status updates to stakeholders; Developing cost estimates or funding expenditures on proposed projects; and Conducting quality control checks to monitor or mitigate project risks and/or ensure projects are compliant with federal laws, regulations, and policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
