Duties

You will plan and participate in the Audit and Surveillance program, including the tracking of required corrective actions. You will support NAVSEA 07Q Functional Audits of other activities. You will maintain a library of external and internal directives and technical publications. You will maintain training and qualification records. You will provide training presentations and assisting personnel in the qualification process. You will review and make recommended changes for the improvement of program documentation. You will provide quality assurance support to Code 34 Electromagnetic Systems.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing, coordinating, or conducting a Quality Management System program for an organization. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: Quality Assurance Series 1910 (opm.gov) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education

In lieu of experience, education may be substituted if one or more of the following are met:-

successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field related to the position.

- successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field related to the position.

- successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
