You will serve as a EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Installation Emergency Management Division of NAVWPNSTA.
Duties
You will serve as the primary point of contact on the installation to prepare for, monitor, manage, plan, and respond to both natural and man-made disasters.
You will provide training support for the installation by identifying, developing, and/or coordinating emergency management requirements and curriculum.
You will prepare for and/or participate in drills and exercises to include hurricane exercises, response to terrorism exercises, etc., as needed to maintain the installation program.
You will manage the installation EOC to include oversight and delivered training of required participants, cleanliness of facility, operational capability, and readiness of equipment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrates broad knowledge of emergency management encompassing "all hazards" disaster contingency planning to include nature and/or man-made; 2) Engages with Department of Defense, federal agencies, and civil sector emergency preparedness, planning and response; 3) Review emergency management publications, regulations and correspondence to determine initial and follow-up action; 4) Engages and participates in the operations of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC); 5) Perform a variety of administrative type duties; 6) Read and understand technical/non-technical publications and reports; and 7) Interact with representatives of other staff, subordinate commands, Federal, state and local emergency response organizations.
