The Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic operates the multiple-zone air conditioning plant consisting of several centrifugal chillers. The tasks assigned to the Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic are more complex and require a broad knowledge of equipment and systems and receives little to no detailed instructions in the performance of assigned tasks.
Duties
The Tennessee Valley Healthcare System (TVHS) is a level 1A integrated tertiary health care system comprised of medical centers in Nashville, TN and Murfreesboro, TN and twenty (20) additional community-based clinics in Middle Tennessee and Kentucky. TVHS provides ambulatory care, primary care, and secondary care in acute medicine and surgery, as well as specialized tertiary care, transplant services, spinal cord injury outpatient care, and a full range of extended care and mental health services. The AC Equipment Mechanic's duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards.

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
